Your data is yours. If you no longer want to use VA Claims Made Easy, you can request deletion of your account at any time — even without signing in. We use email verification to make sure the request really comes from you.
When your deletion is finalized, the following are removed from our active systems:
A small amount of information may be retained where the law requires it — for example, payment and tax records, fraud-prevention logs, or records subject to legal hold. Where we keep this information, it is segregated, access-restricted, and used only for the legal purpose that requires it. See our Privacy Policy for full retention details.
If you're not sure deletion is the right step, here are lighter alternatives:
Deletion is permanent. To protect veterans from someone else requesting deletion of their account, we never act on a deletion request until the verification link sent to the account email is clicked. Only the real owner of that inbox can complete the request.
If you don't receive a verification email within a few minutes, check your spam folder first. If it still isn't there, the email you submitted may not match an account on record. You can re-submit with a different email or contact support.
This page is for users who no longer have access to the VA Claims Made Easy mobile app. If you can still sign in, you can also delete your account from within the app. Thank you for your service.
